Introducing Lapels – the new generation of indie/Britpop singer/songwriters, evolving the no-nonsense, everyday-life genre of music into 2021… almost 30 years since the Godfathers of Britpop, Blur, changed the world with their debut album, ‘Leisure’. The first new, young band signed to the iconic Marquee Records (a brand renowned for nurturing and launching new talent), Lapels bound onto the scene with their debut single, ‘Warning Lights’ released on 30 July.

With music influences that include Bishop Briggs, Sia, Jeff Buckley as well Aretha and Tina Turner; Kat brings soulful vocals with a raw rocky edge. Lyrics that ooze deep vulnerability and music that empowers – creating the relatable, cutting edge pop that marks her as a unique artist.
